Summertime means the kids are home from school and more than likely making a mess of the house. Here are some tips of how to get off some of the worst stains.

Chewing gum- Nothing is fun about having gum stuck in your hair. Why we aren’t really sure how it ever got there, it needs to get removed ASAP. The easiest way to do this is with smooth Peanut Butter. If the gum is stuck on your clothing or your shoe on the other hand, put the item in the freezer overnight before you start to chip away.

Lipstick- The best way to get rid of your child’s make-up on the walls is with a rubber spatula. If the lipstick has made it all the way to her clothes, mix water and white vinegar together to gently blot the stain away.

Play dough- Some time and every child’s life they find a way to get their play dough in the carpet. Don’t fret, just place dry-cleaning solvent into a white rag and place on the affected area for one minute.

Crayon- Every kid loves to color and may color on your table from time to time. Simply spray some WD-40 on a cleaning rag and wipe it up. If the crayon has made its way to their clothes just add liquid detergent to the stain and let soak overnight before washing.

Hope that this helps next time your child brings you a new stain!
