As house cleaners, we learned four easy cleaning tips to maintain a clean shower between regular and deep cleaning. The caveat is that you must apply these four cleaning hacks to make it work. And you must have the supplies and tools to do the task. By keeping up with these cleaning tips, you will save yourself time and elbow grease. The tools; Water Repellent, Squeegee, Tylex Mildew Cleaner, and Paper Towel. Place them in a small bucket for easy access.
If your home has a glass shower like most modern homes, one of the cleaning hacks we learned is to use water repellent. Think like your car, the water repellent in your windshield. The goal is to keep the water from sticking to the glass. Apply water repellent on the shower doors and areas with glass at least once per month. There are plenty of brands out there, the most popular brand is Rain-X which has plenty of good reviews. But as always, before using this product, you must read the instructions and follow the recommended direction.
Next, you will need the squeegee to help with the water repellent. You can turn this task into a habit. After each shower, use the squeegee to wipe down the shower doors and the walls. Spending a few minutes doing this simple task will save time deep cleaning your shower.
Another helpful thing you can do is to spray Tylex Mold & Mildew in the corners of the shower at least every other week. This task is very easy to do. Just spray and walk away. No rinsing. But be sure to leave the bathroom after you spray this product. It is very strong. If you can open the window, it will help with reducing the odor. This product will remove the stain, and it will prevent the growth of molds and mildew if applied regularly. Read the label if this is your first time using this product.
The last one is a paper towel. I always have one easily accessible in my bathroom. You can use the paper towel in the shower to pick up hair on the floors. Before you start the shower at least once per week, grab one sheet of paper towel, sprinkle a little water, and use it to wipe the shower floors. The paper towel will take the hair and the dry body dust.
