  • Dry your clothes faster with a tennis ball in the dryer.
  • Quickly remove pet hair from clothes or furniture by wetting rubber gloves and rubbing them over the hair.
  • Toss your soiled shower curtain into the wash with a few towels and the usual amount of detergent. Hang the newly fresh shower curtain to dry.

  • Dust your intricate items such as paintings or blinds  a with a hair dryer set on low.

How Is Maid Service Cost Determined

When it comes to house cleaning, different factors determine the cost of cleaning for each home. While we average around the same cost per home, there are a few factors about each home which could cause the price to go up or down.

Location – The location of your home helps us determine the cost of your service. If your home resides in a big city where we have many of clients, chances are your costs will be  lower.  If your home happens to be far away, we will have to charge more for the cost of gas.

House Tidiness – The tidiness of your house has a lot to do with the costs as well. The neater your house is upon arrival the faster we can move onto cleaning. If you have messy rooms in your house, we will have to charge more for the extra time if takes to pick up before cleaning.

Size – Bigger homes take longer to clean, and will cost more unfortunately. If there are rooms that you do not want cleaned, please let us know so they will not be calculated in the cost.

Frequency – How often we clean your home will also have an influence on the price. Expect to pay more for initial and once a month cleanings. Discounts start to take effect with bi-monthly and weekly cleanings.

For more information on pricing, please contact us at Rejoice Maids  Service. We would be happy to give you an estimate on your house cleaning.

Cleaning Your House Before Moving

Moving to a new home can be an exciting time, but studies have shown that moving is actually one of the most stressful events of your life. You suddenly wish that you had a magic wand that would get all the work done for you. There is no need to worry: while we can’t provide you with a magic wand, we can provide you with helpful tips to keep the job as stress free as possible.

  • Start early – Moving companies say that the average home takes 8 weeks to organize before the move. Don’t leave the organizing to the last minute and get stuck with unsorted belongings everywhere come moving day.
  • Strategic planning – It is  not realistic to think that everything in your old house is going to make it to your new house. Expenses are really going to add up and chances are, you don’t need a lot of the stuff anyway. Sell, donate, or give away any items in your house that you no longer want or need.
  • Hire a House cleaning service – The last thing you are going to want to do after all the packing is done, is clean the house. Hire a cleaning service that will come and do a thorough cleaning for you. Looking back, this will be your biggest time and money saver.
  • Organize Before the moving begins, make sure that you have a few permanent markers, clear packing tape, and small colored dot stickers. Use the permanent marker to label every box that you are going to move. The stickers are great for separating different boxes into each room they will belong in. The clear masking tape will ensure that your boxes are secure during the move.

Hopefully these tips will help make your moving process much more bearable. If you are interested in having someone come out to clean you house, please contact us at Rejoice Maids in Woodstock, GA.

Cut the Clutter Before the Holidays

Holiday DecorationsOne of the tricks to having a perfectly clean home before the holidays is starting and maintaining an organized home right now.  Organization is one of the many keys to keeping your home clean throughout the year, but it seems to become even more important during the holidays.  As you pull out decorations and gifts, reassessing your organization throughout your home is a great way to make sure that everything remains clean throughout the entire year.

After pulling out boxes of decorations from your home, now is the perfect time to reassess your home organization before having to put back your holiday decor.  Nothing makes your home feel cleaner than having it properly organized.  Here are a few ways that you can keep it organized throughout the entire year before putting everything away.

  • Keep Your Kitchen Pantry Organized:  During the holiday season, many of us spend time cooking for our family and friends.  Taking this opportunity to clean a few things out and reorganize your kitchen will be a great stress reliever and a good step to keeping your kitchen clean throughout the entire year to come.  Try organizing your kitchen pantry first before tackling the rest of the kitchen.
  • Organize Your Storage Areas:  Now that your decorations are out, it’s the perfect time to reorganize your storage areas.  Try erecting shelves in your garage, basement, or attic where you store your holiday decorations.  Then separate your decorations into Rubbermaid boxes by holiday. Masking tape works great for labeling boxes so that you can reuse them for reorganization in the future.
How are you reorganizing your home over the holidays?  Organization is key to keeping a clean home year round.  If you are looking for house cleaning services, please contact Rejoice Maids Services in Woodstock, GA for more information and tips on staying organized throughout the holidays.

How to Create a Welcoming Home for your Guests

With the holidays around the corner, more than likely you will be hosting family and friends in your home. While it is not a 5 star hotel, you will want them to feel like they are treated like royalty. In order to do this, it is important to remember the little things. Below we have covered a list of our favorite special touches that will wow your guests.

  • Stock the bathroom – Making sure the bathroom is stocked with appropriate items makes a guest feel comfortable. Before the guests arrive, stock the bathroom with the essentials; extra towels, wash cloths, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
  • Have a clean house – Nothing will make your guests feel more at home then a freshly cleaned house. A cleaning service can come in for a one time visit and make sure your house is spotless for your guests. We are positive your guests will enjoy their perfectly made bed with fresh, clean sheets, as well.
  • Create a snack basket – A snack basket in every room is a nice way to tell your guests you care. Snacks also are great for hungry guests who feel uncomfortable raiding your pantry.
  • Drawer or closet space – There is nothing worse than coming to a house and having no where to put your things. Make sure you have a few drawers and possibly some closet space available for your guests.

Hopefully these ideas will help prepare you for your holiday guests. For any pre- or post-holiday house guest cleaning needs, please contact us.
